A delegation from the Mauritanian Journalists’ Union’s Executive Board, led by President Ahmed Salem Sidi Abdallah, visited former President Mohamed Salem Ould Dah this evening to inquire about his health following his recent illness.
The visit continues the follow-up undertaken by the Union President in recent days, during which he monitored Mohamed Salem Ould Dah’s health and worked to ensure formal follow-up by the competent authorities, reflecting the Union’s professional and humanitarian responsibility towards leading figures in the journalism community.
In this regard, the Executive Board commends the positive response and attention shown by the competent official authorities towards Mohamed Salem Ould Dah’s health and the measures taken to ensure his condition was followed up.
During the visit, the delegation was reassured by the improvement in Mohamed Salem Ould Dah’s health. On its own behalf and on behalf of all Union members, it expressed sincere wishes for a speedy recovery and continued health and well-being, praying that Almighty God grant him a full recovery and return him to his family, colleagues and loved ones in complete health.
