Breaking / New Executive Board of the Mauritanian Journalists’ Union announced

In an atmosphere of consensus and professional responsibility, the Mauritanian Journalists’ Union announced its new Executive Board this evening, marking the beginning of a new phase of union activity aimed at strengthening the standing of Mauritanian journalists and defending their material and moral rights.
President Ahmed Salem Sidi Abdallah ensured that the new Executive Board represents all public and private media organisations, as well as the free and independent press.
The new Executive Board is composed as follows:

President: Ahmed Salem Sidi Abdallah (أحمد سالم سيدي عبد الله) 
 First Vice-President: Khadija El Moujtaba (اخديجه المجتبى) 
 Second Vice-President: Aziz Soufi (عزيز الصوفي) 
 Third Vice-President: Amadou Sy (آمادو سي) 
 Secretary-General: Ahmed Mohamed El Mostapha (أحمد محمد المصطفى) 
 First Deputy Secretary-General: El Hacen Amar Jouda (الحسن أعمر جودة) 
Second Deputy Secretary-General: Mouna Mohamed (منى محمد) 
 Secretary responsible for the Training, Professional Development and Experience Enhancement Committee: Salek Zeid (السالك زيد) 
Secretary responsible for the External Relations Committee: Bakary Ke (بكاري كي) 
 Secretary responsible for the Activities Committee: Souleymane El Farwa (سليمان الفروة) 
Secretary responsible for Cultural Diversity and Alternative Media: Djaji Camara (جاجي كامرا) 
 Secretary responsible for the Branches and Associations Committee: El Mokhtar Babettah (المختار بابتاح) 
 Secretary responsible for the Women Journalists’ Affairs Committee: Meima Mohamed Eznagui (ميمه محمد ازناكي)
Secretary responsible for Photographers and Technicians: Moulay Ayeh (مولاي أييه) 
 Secretary responsible for the Professional Ethics Charter Committee: Mohamed Abderrahmane El Moujtaba (محمد عبد الرحمن المجتبى) 
Secretary responsible for the Disputes and Complaints Committee: Hammadi Ideidbi (حمادي إديدبي)
 Secretary responsible for the Culture and Media Committee: El Mokhtar Bab Ahmedou (المختار باب أحمدو) 
 Secretary responsible for the Journalists’ Solidarity Fund Committee: Ahmed Cheikh Rabbani (أحمد الشيخ الرباني) 
Secretary responsible for the Freedoms Committee: Cheikhani Sidi (الشيخاني سيدي) 
 Secretary responsible for the Finance Committee: Amina Yeb (آمنة يب) 
Auditor: Teiba El Ghawth (طيبة الغوث). 

The new Executive Board was announced at a meeting convened by the President at the Union’s new headquarters. Securing these headquarters was the President’s first important action: the location and building were chosen to meet standards befitting the Mauritanian Journalists’ Union.
