The President of the Mauritanian Journalists’ Union, Mr Mohamed Salem Ould Dah, met this morning with the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports and government spokesperson, Mr Mokhtar Ould Dahi. They discussed several press-related issues, notably the implementation of recommendations in the press reform commission’s report. The Union President asked the minister to intervene to accelerate the arrangements needed to hold the Union’s fourth congress before the end of the coming July. The minister promised to instruct his staff to carry this out.
