This morning, the national scene lost Beden Ould Abidine, a prominent media figure, politician, activist and patriot. On this painful occasion, the Mauritanian Journalists’ Union mourns his passing with the Mauritanian people and extends its warmest condolences and sincere sympathy to all his family members, colleagues, friends and admirers in the media and political spheres.
It asks Almighty Allah to encompass him in His boundless mercy, admit him to His spacious Paradise, and grant everyone patience and consolation after his passing.
Indeed, we belong to Allah, and to Him we shall return.
