I have just received a telephone call from the President of the Republic’s Chief of Staff, who told me that the Saudi authorities had officially informed them that they were responding to the President’s request to release our brother and colleague Youssef Ould Horma Ould Bebbana, and that arrangements for his journey home were under way.
On this occasion, I am pleased to extend my greetings to the President of the Republic, greatly appreciating his response to our letter asking him to seek our brother Youssef’s release, as well as his response to the appeals of many citizens.
We wish him further success. Through this step, he makes us all feel that we have genuinely entered a new phase of engagement.
