Mauritanian Journalists’ Union protests against Trump’s decision

The Mauritanian Journalists’ Union held a protest in support of the Palestinian cause and against US President Donald Trump’s decision to move his country’s embassy to Jerusalem.

Mauritanian Journalists’ Union President Mohamed Salem Ould Dah criticised the decision, describing it as unacceptable.

The protest was attended by male and female journalists, as well as political and civil society activists.

Meanwhile, near the United Nations representative office in Nouakchott, Mauritanian police forcibly dispersed a protest march against activists protesting Trump’s decision.

Several events were held today, Monday, in Nouakchott to oppose US President Donald Trump’s decision to move his country’s embassy to Jerusalem.
